We are Systematix and we are currently looking for a Solutions Architect to lead the design, integration, and security of enterprise applications and infrastructure for our client’s operations in Vaughan, Ontario.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join their IT Services / Enterprise Architecture team. The successful candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing systems that align with organizational goals.
The Solutions Architect will work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Network, Security, and Application Development to design and implement robust architectures that support enterprise-grade performance and compliance standards.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Solutions Architect will:
DevOps & Infrastructure
• Design and oversee CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to ensure scalable deployments.
Application & Network Integration
• Interface with Network and Security teams to support web application servers and load balancers.
• Ensure high availability and performance of web-based applications.
SSO & Identity Management
• Lead the implementation of Single Sign-On (SSO) and identity federation solutions (e.g., SAML, OAuth, Azure AD).
• Ensure secure and seamless user authentication across platforms.
Third-Party Integration
• Architect and manage integrations with external vendors, APIs, and SaaS platforms.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance in all integrations.
Application Security
• Collaborate with security teams to embed security best practices into application design.
• Conduct threat modeling and support secure coding practices.
Performance Optimization
• Monitor and analyze application performance metrics.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across infrastructure, code, and integrations.
• Work with development and operations teams to ensure optimal end-user experience.
Solution Design
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
• Create architecture diagrams, documentation, and technical roadmaps.
ABOUT THE ROLE
• Location: Vaughan, Ontario
• Department: IT Services / Enterprise Architecture
• Reports To: Manager, Solutions Architecture
• Type: Full-time hybrid contract role (onsite as required)
• Duration: 12 months
QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of experience in IT architecture, DevOps, or systems integration roles.
• Strong knowledge of Azure cloud platforms.
• Enterprise web application development experience (e.g., ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server).
• Experience with SSO protocols (SAML, OAuth2).
• Familiarity with application security frameworks (OWASP, NIST).
• Experience with performance monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Datadog).
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Certifications: TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect, CISSP, or similar.
