Senior Project Management Specialist
We are Systematix and we are currently seeking a Senior Project Management Specialist for an opportunity with a public sector client. The ideal candidate must hold an active Government of Canada Reliability (Level I) security clearance. This is a hybrid role requiring up to 12 days on-site per month, expected to start in October 2026. The initial contract term is 12 months, with the option to extend for an additional 24 months.
About the Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the delivery of multiple CTS, Cyber Security, and ITS projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security requirements, and governance standards.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource assignments to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Manage projects through all lifecycle phases, ensuring milestones, and targets are met.
- Monitor and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions, implementing corrective actions as required.
- Coordinate and administer project change requests in accordance with approved governance processes.
- Prepare and maintain project status reports, dashboards, and performance metrics, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Coordinate with respective team leaders to identify resource requirements, assign resources, and optimize capacity to support the successful delivery of project objectives and timelines.
- Engage stakeholders, clients, and business partners to gather requirements, resolve issues, and support successful project outcomes.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog management activities.
- Ensure all project deliverables, documentation, approvals, and closeout activities are completed incompliance with organizational standards and policies.
- Coordinate release management activities, ensuring releases are planned, documented, reviewed, approved, and implemented in accordance with established change management requirements.
- Support the coordination and management of dependencies, risks, reporting, and delivery activities across multiple workstreams, including infrastructure, cyber security, and strategic technology initiatives.

About the Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of recent demonstrated work experience delivering IT infrastructure, network security, cyber security, or technology transformation.
- Minimum of five 5 years of recent demonstrated work experience as a Senior Project Management Specialist overseeing a project for the definition and implementation of infrastructure modernization, cyber security, and/or technology transformation, in a complex environment.
- Experience engaging and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior management, business stakeholders, and technical teams, while effectively communicating complex technical and business information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge and application of PMBOK project management principles, processes, tools, and methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proficiency in analyzing project risks, issues, dependencies, and impacts, and developing data-driven recommendations to support project objectives and governance decisions.
- University degree or college diploma in information technology, project management, business administration or a related field.

Pay Disclosure
The average hourly pay range for this field is as follows:
- Junior: 0–5 years of experience – $40-75/hr
- Intermediate: 6–9 years of experience – $60-100/hr
- Senior: 10+ years of experience – $90-150/hr
Compensation is commensurate with these standards; exceptions may apply based on experience, skills, and market conditions.
