Senior Network Implementation Lead (Contract)
We are Systematix and we are currently looking for a Senior Network Implementation Lead for one of our key clients.
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Our client is expanding and standing up multiple greenfield sites across their network, including dealerships, data centres, and corporate offices. These environments are being designed centrally, and this role will be responsible for executing and delivering those designs into production.
This is a hands-on delivery role requiring a strong technical leader who can take full ownership of execution—someone who can drive the work, coordinate all moving parts, and actively participate in the implementation.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will act as the technical lead and delivery owner for network deployments across multiple sites. You will be expected to take initiative, keep momentum, and ensure successful delivery—while also being directly involved in the work itself.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead end-to-end implementation of network infrastructure across greenfield sites (dealerships, data centres, offices)
• Translate approved network designs into actionable deployment plans and execute them
• Act as the central point of ownership—driving timelines, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring progress
• Perform hands-on configuration, installation, and validation of network infrastructure
• Coordinate and manage third-party vendors responsible for cabling, hardware installation, and related services
• Ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to standards across all deployments
• Identify and resolve issues in real time during implementations
• Work closely with architecture, security, and infrastructure teams to align and deliver successfully
REQUIREMENTS:
Must-have:
• 10+ years of experience in network engineering with a strong focus on implementation and delivery
• Proven experience leading multi-site or greenfield network rollouts
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, wireless)
• Experience physically installing, configuring, and validating network infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to own delivery end-to-end—driving work forward while also executing technically
• Strong vendor coordination and management experience
• Experience operating in fast-paced environments where priorities shift and execution is key
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills during live deployments
• Experience with Cisco environments (primary), with exposure to Aruba as an asset
• Familiarity with network security technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ISE)
• Willingness to travel to site locations as required
Nice-to-have:
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies (e.g., VeloCloud)
• Experience supporting data centre builds or expansions
• Relevant certifications (Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, etc.)
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Location: Hybrid – Concord, ON + travel to sites
Duration: 6–12 months (with potential extension)
Work hours: 40 hrs/week
PAY DISCLOSURE:
The average hourly pay range for this role is as follows:
• Intermediate (6–9 years): $85–$105/hr
• Senior (10+ years): $105–$125/hr
Compensation is commensurate with experience, skills, and market conditions.
