Quality Assurance Specialist

We are Systematix and we are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist for an opportunity with a public sector client. The ideal candidate must hold an active Government of Canada Reliability (Level I) security clearance. This is a 18-month contract, expected to start in November 2026.

About the Responsibilities

  • Perform manual testing of a critical enterprise application (CMS/Megara: Collateral Management Services), including functional, regression, performance, integration, and end-to-end testing to support operational priorities.
  • Validate CMS/Megara interfaces and integrations, and system changes against defined business, technical, and operational acceptance criteria.
  • Develop and maintain test cases, execute test plans, and document test results, defects and supporting evidence using approved testing and defect-tracking tools.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts and QA automation coverage, where applicable.
  • Identify, analyze, document, and track defects through resolution, working closely with business and technical stakeholders to support timely remediation.
  • Related activities and deliverable, as required.

About the Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in in computer science, information technology, business systems, or engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance (QA) experience supporting enterprise applications.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience planning, developing, executing and documenting manual testing activities, including functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing of enterprise applications and associated interfaces.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with Collateral Management systems such as Vermeg Megara solution or capital markets trading platforms in a development, support, configuration, or quality assurance capacity.
  • Experience validating system changes and working with business, technical and operational stakeholders to support user acceptance, release readiness, and operational readiness activities.
  • Experience supporting testing activities within complex enterprise application environments involving multiple system integrations.
  • Knowledge of QA methodologies, including test planning, test case design, test execution, defect management, and test evidence documentation.
  • Experience using test management, defect tracking and collaboration tools, such as qTest, Allure TestOps, Jira, Confluence or SharePoint.

Pay Disclosure

The average hourly pay range for this field is as follows:

  • Junior: 0–5 years of experience – $40-75/hr
  • Intermediate: 6–9 years of experience – $60-100/hr
  • Senior: 10+ years of experience – $90-150/hr

Compensation is commensurate with these standards; exceptions may apply based on experience, skills, and market conditions.
