We are currently looking for a talented Business Analyst to support our client, a large insurance provider undergoing enterprise modernization and data-driven transformation.

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst for an 8-month engagement with the possibility of extension. The work will be primarily onsite at their head office in Regina. The role sits within the Strategy Realization Office and focuses on capacity and demand modelling to support program portfolio planning.

Business Analyst Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain enterprise-wide capacity and demand models for program and project planning.
• Analyze resource forecasts, utilization trends, and cross-department allocation scenarios (IT, Operations, Business Units).
• Collaborate with Portfolio Managers and Program Sponsors to ensure demand assumptions are realistic and support planning cycles.
• Integrate capacity intelligence into portfolio intake, prioritization, and execution frameworks.
• Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations via dashboards, visualizations, and executive summaries.
• Support governance frameworks with structured analysis and communication tools.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in enterprise capacity planning, forecasting, or workforce modelling.
• Proficiency in business analysis methodologies and portfolio planning techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with comfort handling large datasets and assumptions.
• Experience supporting program or portfolio offices and working cross-functionally with business and technical teams.
• Exceptional communication skills to translate data into business decisions.
• Strong Excel, visualization, and reporting tool experience (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with agile and hybrid project environments is an asset.
