Guidewire Business Analyst

We are currently seeking a talented Guidewire Business Analyst for our client, Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI). This role will support Guidewire production backlog management and enhancements, ensuring smooth system functionality and improvements.
LOCATION & WORK HOURS:
•    Services may be performed onsite (Regina), hybrid, or remotely within Canada.
•    Work hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Saskatchewan Time, with potential after-hours support.
THE PROJECT
SGI recently implemented Guidewire and is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to:
•    Gather, validate, and document business requirements for resolving production issues and enhancing the platform.
•    Provide guidance and recommendations to SGI’s Guidewire product teams based on best practices and past experience.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1.    Minimum 5 years of Business Analyst experience.
2.    Minimum 5 years of experience gathering business requirements, resolving production issues, and elaborating enhancements.
3.    Guidewire experience is mandatory. Expert-level proficiency is considered an asset.
4.    Experience with Guidewire InsureCloud for Canada is an asset.
5.    Experience in the Canadian property and casualty insurance industry is an asset.
6.    Industry-recognized certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis) are preferred.
7.    Advanced expertise in requirement elicitation, including business, technical, nonfunctional, security, and testing requirements.
8.    Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and project delivery processes (Agile, Waterfall).
9.    Advanced skills in documenting epics, features, and user stories in JIRA.
10.    Advanced validation skills, ensuring user story testing meets acceptance criteria.
11.    Proficiency in project management fundamentals.
12.    Solid knowledge of core insurance concepts and principles.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role is a one year contract engagement with possible extensions. This work will be conducted in either remote, hybrid or remote settings aligned with Saskatchewan work times.

Desktop and Wireless Support Technician

We are Systematix and we are currently looking for a highly skilled and customer-focused Technical Support Engineer to support a key client project.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our client is seeking a Technical Support Engineer with a strong background in wireless troubleshooting, desktop troubleshooting, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves working directly with senior technical teams within the IT department and business users to assist in diagnosing and resolving critical technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Collaboration with multiple teams will be required.

Our client is currently facing significant performance issues with Windows laptops, particularly related to wireless performance. The successful candidate will act as a key problem-solver, owning and addressing these issues, consulting with internal technical teams as necessary, and ensuring all problems are resolved to completion. This includes interfacing regularly with senior management and VIP users, making exceptional customer service and follow-through essential for this role.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Support Engineer

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Wireless Troubleshooting:

  2. Diagnose and resolve wireless connectivity and performance issues for various devices and networks.

  3. Work directly with client systems (desktop) and network teams to resolve issues and improve the customer experience.

  4. Desktop Troubleshooting:

  5. Provide technical support for desktop hardware and software issues.

  6. Troubleshoot advanced operating system problems, application errors, and hardware malfunctions.

  7. Identify and address issues causing performance problems in Windows laptops and desktop environments.

  8. Problem Ownership and Resolution:

  9. Own and tackle technical problems, consulting with internal teams as necessary to ensure complete resolution.

  10. Interface regularly with senior management and VIP users, ensuring exceptional customer service and follow-through.

  11. Act as the go-to expert for critical issues at key sites or with VIP users, taking full responsibility for resolution.

  12. Customer Service Excellence:

  13. Deliver exceptional customer service by actively listening to internal customers and addressing their concerns.

  14. Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical users.

  15. Follow up with customers to ensure their issues are fully resolved and they are satisfied with the service provided.

  16. Documentation and Reporting:

  17. Document all support activities, including troubleshooting steps and resolutions, in the ticketing system.

  18. Generate reports on common issues and trends to improve support processes.

  19. Create and update knowledge base articles to assist customers and team members.

  21. Work closely with other technical support team members to share knowledge and best practices.

  22. Provide training and guidance to junior support staff as needed.

  23. Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex technical issues.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a 6-month contract role based in Concord, Ontario, with occasional travel required to locations in southern Ontario, including Bradford, Burlington, Stoney Creek, and Brampton. The position normally operates during business hours but may require occasional evening or weekend work to meet customer needs.

Enterprise Architect

We are currently looking for an Enterprise Architect for our client. The Strategy and Architecture Branch of the IT Division of the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement has an ongoing need for an experienced and knowledgeable Enterprise Architecture resource to be a member of the team.
This position will be located on-site at the Government of Saskatchewan office in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. 
The Enterprise Architect will be collaborating closely with the Director, Architecture as well as senior leadership throughout ITD and GOS ministries. The resource will collaborate with other resources as needed to develop outcomes in alignment with the government’s and the ministry’s priorities and expectations.
The intended start date for the role is April 1, 2025, for a three-year contract with a possible extension of two-years.
Key qualities of the resource will be:
