QA Tester
We are Systematix and we are looking for a intermediate level QA Tester with hands-on experience with Worksoft or other QA test suite for one of our key clientele in Toronto.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Quality Assurance (QA) Tester Automation will be responsible for manual testing, and/or developing automated tests, reviewing system requirements and tracking QA metrics to take corrective measures to ensure successful product launches and changes.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background with demonstrated acumen in delivering cost-effective, end-to-end solutions for software quality challenges.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews test procedures and develops test scripts
- Executes test cases under varying circumstances
- Evaluates, documents, and communicates test results
- Detects, logs, and reports program bugs and glitches
- Tracks defects and helps troubleshoot errors
- Partners with engineers to drive QA efforts
- Create or execute comprehensive test cases and plans
- Develop, design and deliver automation scripts using open-source tools
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years' experience in software quality assurance
- Sound knowledge of software test automation
- Strong familiarity with software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
- Solid knowledge of basic SQL scripting (e.g., SELECT, JOIN, WHERE, GROUP BY)
- Hands-on experience with Worksoft or other QA test suite
- Relevant post secondary degree or commensurate experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with team members and liaise with developers, business analysts, and product managers
- Experience in testing cloud systems & SAP system
ABOUT THE ROLE
This a contract or fulltime permanent (preferred) opportunityina hybrid role of remote and onsite work at client's downtown Toronto offices. Must be willing to occasionally do 2 to 3 weeks of testing onsite, as required.

Hardware Verification Specialist
We are Systematix and we are currently looking for aHardware Verification Specialistwith strong communication and technology skills to fill a contract position with one of our key Life science clients.
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Our client is one of North America’s leading Scientific Test and Measurement organizations, with offices worldwide. As Hardware Verification Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and executing verification test plans, protocols and reports in all phases of product development life cycle (including post-launch).You will use the provided test tools and agile processes to assist projects, ensure that the products work as designed and manage the tools, frameworks and verification environments.
Specifically, your responsibilities in this role are:
- Creating and executing specific product verification procedures that would show the suitability and demonstrate quality of the software and system elements that are an integral part of a given product, i.e. verification plans, test protocols and cases, verification reports, etc
- Executing all aspects of the verification effort required for a given project, including in some cases validation and where necessary assisting others in either verification or validation efforts.
- Implementing and documenting configurations/ networks/ equipment/ instrument needed to ensure a complete hardware and software configuration coverage necessary to support a full lab and customer workflow process.
- Working with research scientists, service engineers, application specialists and managers to characterize and troubleshoot product issues.
- Suggesting and verifying fixes and corrective and preventive actions.
- Assisting other R&D individuals in the execution of their specific tests for example regulatory and software development Reporting in a timely manner verification progress, issues, risks, and requirements compliance status.
- Reviewing product documentation such as requirements and product specifications, functional specifications review.
- Storing and archiving of verification raw data, documents and records for new and existing products.
- Instrument and computer maintenance. Troubleshooting and assessing released product issues.
- Active participation in the evaluation and introduction of new tools, techniques, approaches, and verification methods.
- Elaboration and execution of ISO procedures developed for the Verification function.
- Calibrating, testing, optimization and troubleshooting mass spectrometer range of products and options according to work instructions and procedures.
- Meeting cycle time as defined by Technical Consultant.
- Recording all test data as directed by procedures and work instructions.
- Implementing corrective and preventive action as required.
- Daily torque verification.
- Working on final test improvement projects when required.
ABOUT THE REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Engineering or Science background (M.Sc highly desirable)
- 1+ years of Laboratory Method Development experience
- 1+ years of Mass Spectrometer experience
- 1+ years of working with LC devices and peripherals
- 4+ years of experience in a hands-on testing role and is comfortable across a whole range of testing including regression, performance, stress, acceptance, exploratory and system testing
- Experience working in a Test-Driven Development, XP (extreme programming), SCRUM or Agile Environment
- Excellent problem solving & analytical skills
- Ability to rapidly learn new hardware and software
- Superior communication skills and a team-oriented, collaborative orientation
- Ability to design relevant test cases based on realistic customer workflows

QA Testing Lead

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our client, one of Canada's leading real estate investment trusts overseeing several thousand rental properties across the nation, is seeking a versatile QA Testing Lead.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee test planning delivery, preparation activities for test execution.
- Develop test strategy, test plans, and project documentation using risk analysis methodologies.
- Participate in the creation and execution of test cases to meet deadlines as well as manage and support team in creating reusable test assets for manual and automated test scripts.
- Manage Full Testing Lifecyle and deliverables: Test strategy, plan, schedules, test cases, dashboards, defect logs, test closure reports, entry/exit criteria and gating.
- Ensure effective planning and coordination of support partners including business process owners, IT and Infrastructure and Project Management Office.
- Communicate and address scope changes that impact testing
- Chair defect triage meetings to ensure effective and detailed documentation, tracking, reporting defect resolutions using metrics.
- Assess various automation tools and make recommendations on automation strategy.
- Conduct test case reviews to ensure scenarios accurately capture business functionality
- Work collaboratively with a team and in an Agile-Scrum environment
- Support Testing Services practice development and sales generation activities
ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS
- Strong communication and documentation skills written and verbal, French is a strong asset
- Experience working inenterpriseproject environments
- An understanding of the system development life cycle
- 4+ years of experience in a QA and Test Lead role; with strong track record for delivery
- Exposure to Test Automation tools and scripting.

Verification Specialist
We are Systematix and we are currently looking for a Verification Specialist with extensive communication and technology skills to fill a contract role with one of our Life Science clients.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Software Department by designing test protocols and performing verification (test) activities, as well as maintaining other general department documents and records
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop manual verification protocols against provided specifications
- Execute verification protocols, capture results and create corresponding summary reports
- Clearly document and communicate discovered defects to facilitate corrective actions by developers
- Maintain various company records and create reports (typically using MS Excel)
- Interact with representatives from various functions to obtain the required information and to receive and provide updates on the work progress, issues and risks
- Perform other miscellaneous activities to support the department needs.
ABOUT THE REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Experience with formal product verification (both developing and executing test protocols)
- Strong typing skills and demonstrated expertise in using MS Excel
- Strong attention to details and ability to concentrate for extended periods of time
- Test automation experience
- Knowledge of computer architecture and components
- Experience of working in remote/distributed team environment
