System Engineer

Systematix is currently looking for a System Engineer who is knowledgeable in Microsoft Defender and Endpoint Management to help support our client who leads in technology and innovation.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
As a part of a global organization, you will help enable secure, efficient, and modern infrastructure to support our client’s businesses worldwide.  As System Engineer, you will support our client’s enterprise endpoint protection environment as they transition from CrowdStrike to the Microsoft Defender stack. This role will focus on troubleshooting and managing endpoints and servers, ensuring seamless protection and compliance across our environment.  You will bring your strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune administration, SCCM, and endpoint management. While a solid understanding of security concepts is important, this position will collaborate closely with the centralized Security team, who will define and manage policies.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the migration from CrowdStrike to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
• Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Defender for Server.
• Administer, configure, and maintain Intune and SCCM for endpoint management and software deployment.
• Perform root-cause analysis for endpoint and server security or configuration issues.
• Work closely with the Security team to implement and validate policies.
• Monitor endpoint health, compliance, and performance.
• Provide technical documentation and recommendations to improve endpoint stability and protection.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure, operations, and support teams to ensure smooth integration and management.

ABOUT THE QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of experience in system administration or endpoint engineering in enterprise environments.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Intune and SCCM (Configuration Manager)
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Defender for Server.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure AD environments.
• Working knowledge of endpoint security best practices and Windows patch management.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced global environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a 6-month contract role to be performed remotely in the eastern time zone.
