Change Management and Reporting & Data Services Project Manager (ONSITE Hamilton)

We are Systematix and we are looking for a dynamic Change Management and Reporting & Data Services Project Manager to fill a one year contract position with one of our key manufacturing clientele in Hamilton.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Change Management and Reporting & Data Services Project Manager to lead and oversee the integration and deployment of complex systems for the organization on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, resources, and risks, and ensure successful implementation of systems to meet objectives. The project involves a business system migration where mainframe applications are being replaced with a modern off-the-shelf suite. The ideal candidate should have experience in the manufacturing industry, specifically with sales order management and fulfillment, shipping, and application data migration/integration project experience. A candidate with 13 to 18 years of experience in the IT industry and 10 to 12 years of experience in Project Management for system replacement, system integrations, data migrations, and report development type projects would be ideal.

The work week is 40 hours, from 8:00 to 4:15 PM daily. The candidate must be able to work minimally 4-days onsite and 1-day remote, generally. During certain phases of the project, the candidate may be required to work on-site outside of those times. For example, during commissioning and cutover/go-live.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and requirements, and translate them into actionable project plans.
Develop detailed project plans and schedules and monitor their execution throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate with technical teams, vendors, and partners to ensure seamless data migration using various systems, applications, and technologies.
Manage project resources, including team members, contractors, and third-party vendors, and allocate tasks and responsibilities effectively.
Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks to ensure project success.
Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of project goals and timelines.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices in data migration and testing processes.
Lead change management efforts, including user training, documentation, and post-deployment support to ensure smooth adoption of new systems.

Drive continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing lessons learned in future projects.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

Job Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Project Manager in change management, reporting, and data projects, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
Strong understanding of system architecture, software development lifecycle, and integration methodologies.
Project management certification is desirable.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding solutions in complex and dynamic environments.
Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus.
Valid drivers’ license. 

Job Skills 

Lead and manage projects related to change management, data analysis, and reporting services.
Proficiency in the technologies and systems relevant to the data migration process.
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Aptitude for identifying and resolving technical challenges and bottlenecks during data migration.
Skill in managing cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration to ensure project success.
Experience in coordinating with external vendors and partners involved in the integration process.
Capacity to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure project milestones are met.
Ability to guide stakeholders through changes.
Understanding of quality control procedures to ensure the final deployed systems meet requirements.
Strong communication, time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. 

Job Knowledge

Understanding of system architecture principles and how different components interact.
Knowledge of deployment strategies like continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps.
Proficiency with technology and Microsoft-based software packages.
Experience with implementation of manufacturing execution applications, would be beneficial.
Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) phases, especially testing and deployment
Familiarity with industry-specific compliance standards and regulations.
Skill in creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.

Normal, fast-paced office environment for a high impact team.
Onsite / remote work options are available, this is not a 100% remote position and onsite presence will be required. 4-days on-site at Hamilton or Nanticoke plant facility and 1-day remote.

Clarity PPM Functional Lead

We are Systematix and we are looking for a Clarity PPM Functional Lead to fill a remote six-month+ contract position with our global consulting client. (Open to all residents of Canada or USA).

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

The Functional Lead is responsible for partnering with valued clients to help guide them in meeting business needs and maximizing the value from their Clarity PPM investment. Through consultative skills, business knowledge and Clarity PPM expertise, the Functional Lead will act as a trusted adviser to help clients make informed decisions.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct assessment and gap analysis (may also include maturity assessment) of organization's current/future state of project, program and/or portfolio management and build road map of short-term/long-term goals
Responsible for the delivery of assigned projects and acts as the primary communication point with clients
Act as a subject matter expert with a solid understanding and application of all Clarity PPM modules in both functional and technical requirements
Assist in the deployment and support of Clarity PPM
Configuration of portlets to meet the business reporting needs
Drive the definition, establishment and acceptance of best practices and common processes utilizing Clarity PPM.
Define, create and complete functional tasks
Prepare and present training materials
• Other duties as assigned

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 10 years of IT/Business industry work experience with a focus on project/program management and PMO job functions

• Minimum of 7 years of experience effectively leading large-scale projects/programs with significant change impact and multiple dependencies within and across organizational boundaries

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, MIS or equivalent required; Master's Degree preferred

• Extensive experience with and knowledge of Clarity PPM

• Ability to work within a team as well as direct a team

• Ability to simultaneously execute multiple roles individually, including Project Manager, Business Analyst and Architect

• Proven track record to tactically manage projects thru to delivery

• Ability to communicate and build relationships with all levels of an organization (End Users – Sr. Executive Level), including both technical and non-technical audiences

• Capable and reliable in meeting tight schedules and deadlines as well as high attention to detail while maintaining clear customer expectations throughout the life cycle of a project/engagement

• Multi-disciplinary leadership capability, a strong customer focus, excellent people skills and the ability to develop process driven solutions
