We are Systematix and we are currently looking for an IT Support Specialist II to provide advanced desktop, end-user, and remote technical support for one of our key clients.
ABOUT THE PROJECT Our client is a global leader in science and technology, supporting a diverse workforce across multiple locations worldwide. As part of its Global IT organization, the client is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist II to provide exceptional technical support to end users while helping maintain a secure, reliable, and efficient IT environment. The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues while contributing to ongoing IT operations, technology deployments, and continuous process improvements.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide advanced technical support to end users for desktop computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms.
Deliver both onsite and remote technical support to employees across multiple locations.
Install, configure, image, and deploy desktop and laptop computers.
Install and support standard software applications and perform basic network troubleshooting.
Document issues, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions within the IT ticketing system.
Escalate complex or unresolved technical issues to senior IT staff or management as appropriate.
Assist with the implementation and enforcement of IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
Support hardware and software asset management, including inventory tracking and procurement activities.
Assist with testing, deployments, and other IT infrastructure or application projects.
Maintain end-user computing equipment and ensure systems remain operational and compliant.
Develop user documentation, knowledge articles, and training materials to improve the end-user experience.
Identify opportunities to improve Help Desk processes and overall service delivery.
Participate in an on-call support rotation and perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of experience providing desktop, technical support, or IT Help Desk services within an enterprise environment.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
Experience supporting macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting desktop hardware, laptops, printers, peripherals, and mobile devices.
Experience with desktop imaging, workstation deployment, software installation, and system configuration.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and mobile connectivity.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and documentation.
Ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree, diploma, or technical certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Microsoft certifications or other relevant technical certifications.
Hardware certifications such as CompTIA A+ or equivalent.
Experience supporting enterprise Windows client/server environments.
Experience contributing to IT process improvements and operational best practices.
ABOUT THE ROLE This is a contract opportunity supporting a global enterprise IT organization. The role is based in Southern California and requires both onsite and remote support as needed. Participation in an on-call support rotation is required.
