Oracle ERP Functional Consultant

We are Systematix and we are currently looking for an Oracle ERP Functional Consultant with strong communication skills to work with one of the world’s leaders in Life Sciences technologies

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our client is a global leader in science and technology, providing a breadth of expertise and solutions to customers worldwide. As Oracle Order Management Consultant, you will be responsible for the implementation and support for the order management system.  Planning, prioritization, and time management skills will be critical to success.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporting the implementation and delivery of the following functional areas:

Oracle Order Management 
Pricing
Shipping
Integrations of external Transportation systems
Ensuring adequate support and implementation of new features and functionality in the above areas 
Providing short-term and long-term solutions to business issues with on-time delivery and within budget
Identifying improvements to be made to existing solutions and processes, leveraging industry best practices or standard application solutions, and make sound recommendations to business
Working effectively with the global application team to get the necessary support or solutions in place for the business
Deploying global application projects to various regions working effectively with stakeholders and extended Oracle team
Documenting precise requirements, review design documents, monitor project progress, and test solutions before releasing them to users for further user testing
Ensuring proper and good application practices and governance are applied with company compliance
Hands-on troubleshooting and support for system availability and usage

ABOUT THE REQUIRED SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (or equivalent)
5+ years’ experience in the implementation of Oracle Order Management
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations.
The ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and data constraints to the business; applies equal conveyance regarding business strategy and IT strategy, business processes, business initiatives and IT initiatives,
Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is a 6 month, full-time contract position to be carried out in the GTA with the need to be onsite twice a week.  There is a strong possibility of an extension if all parties are in agreement.
