We are Systematix and we are currently looking for a results-driven Enterprise Data Strategy & Governance Analyst to join our team on a contract basis.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our client is a global leader in science and technology, providing a breadth of expertise and solutions to customers worldwide. In this role, you will support a critical initiative focused on elevating data maturity, harmonization, and governance across our client’s operating companies (OpCos). You will play a central role in coordinating with OpCo teams, enterprise AI stakeholders, and the data governance council to assess current capabilities, standardize practices, and define enterprise-level data priorities that enable scalable AI use cases.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITES
OpCo Data Maturity Assessment:
Deploy a standardized data maturity assessment across all OpCos and synthesize findings into an executive summary to inform future data strategy efforts.
Metadata Harmonization:
Collaborate with enterprise AI teams and the data governance council to define and prioritize metadata fields for harmonization in support of an enterprise data catalogue.
MDM Tool Evaluation:
Assess current Master Data Management (MDM) tools used across OpCos and support the enterprise AI team in formulating a recommendation for a standardized enterprise MDM solution.
Data Retention Policy Analysis:
Gather and summarize data retention policy parameters from all OpCos to inform enterprise-level compliance and data lifecycle decisions.
Data Valuation Index Development:
Design a scalable data valuation index that integrates data quality parameters and the relative strategic importance of datasets to enterprise AI initiatives.

We’re currently seeking an experienced DATA ENGINEER to support our client, a major Crown corporation in Saskatchewan’s natural gas sector. This is a full-time, onsite contract position based in Regina, Saskatchewan, playing a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures for enterprise analytics initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SQL Server, SSIS, Python, and Spark/PySpark, along with extensive experience working in modern cloud and lakehouse environments such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks. Strong familiarity with data modeling, ETL best practices, and regulatory compliance is essential.
Location: Onsite – Regina, Saskatchewan
Start Date: As soon as possible
Duration: Through March 31, 2027, with up to four optional one-year renewals
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
Digital, Technology & Security Division – Enterprise Analytics Team
• Minimum five (5) years of recent (within the last 7 years) experience in modern data management practices (ETL, architecture, modeling, analytics)
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline
• Must be able to work full-time onsite in Regina, SK
• SQL Server & SSIS: Expertise with stored procedures, package-level deployment
• ETL Pipelines: Designing and maintaining scalable data workflows
• Python: Advanced scripting for ETL with best practices (testing, code review)
• Spark / PySpark: Large-scale data processing
• Azure & Databricks: Data Factory, Lake, Delta Lake, DABs
• APIs: Microsoft Graph & third-party integration
• CI/CD & Git: Version control and deployment
• Data Governance: Understanding of DAMA/DMBoK, PIPEDA compliance
• Communication: Able to clearly articulate technical information and collaborate across teams
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT/ETL processes
• Build infrastructure to support reporting, dashboards, and analytics
• Oversee data ingestion from legacy and cloud sources
• Implement and manage lakehouse solutions in Delta format
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support technical and business needs
• Guide data modeling and governance practices across projects
• Troubleshoot data and integration issues
• Mentor analytics staff on best practices and tooling
This position reports to SaskEnergy’s Enterprise Analytics team within the Digital, Technology & Security Division. The initial contract runs through March 31, 2027, with potential extensions for up to four additional one-year terms. This is a full-time onsite role in Regina, and candidates must be prepared for occasional travel and overtime. A current Criminal Reference Check and in-person interview are mandatory for shortlisted candidates.
