Position: Sr. Developer/Technical Lead Location: Concord, Ontario – Hybrid Contract Duration: 6 months to start
About the Project
Our client, a leader in serving the specialized equipment and lifetime product support needs of thousands of customers in diverse industries, is seeking a Sr. Developer/Technical Lead to oversee web application projects from design to implementation, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices. This role will support ongoing day-to-day business needs and may cover many possible projects and modifications.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with requirement gathering to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Design application architecture based on business needs and development best practices.
Develop new web applications and maintain/support existing applications, implementing new features as needed.
Provide accurate estimations and lead a team to adhere to timelines and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Follow agile methodology, communicating progress and coordinating with project managers, users, and other team members.
Assign and oversee daily tasks for resources, ensuring alignment with project milestones and punctual delivery within scope.
ABOUT THE QUALIFICATIONS
Soft Skills
Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Design principles.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a business analyst mindset to transform business ideas into applications.
Ability to handle multiple tasks within timelines and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in web development and 3 years in a technical lead capacity.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with accountability in leadership.
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent. Project management certification is a plus.
Technical Skills
SQL expertise (design, tuning, T-SQL), SQL Server Management Studio.
JSON and XML querying in SQL 2016.
UI design excellence.
Proficient in ADO.NET, .NET ORM frameworks (e.g., EF, Dapper), C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, and ASP.NET Web API.
Expert in KendoUI, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, JSON, and Angular.
Familiarity with Azure technologies (e.g., App Services, API Management, Logic App, App Functions).
Knowledge of .NET Core and client-side troubleshooting.
Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server and Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with Blazor and application security design (nice to have).
