We’re seeking an experienced EPPM Functional Consultant to support our client, a major provincial energy utility, in enhancing, supporting, and optimizing their Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) environment. This role collaborates with project managers, business analysts, technical teams, and enterprise stakeholders to improve project governance, scheduling practices, portfolio reporting, and enterprise project delivery maturity.
The consultant will provide deep functional expertise in Primavera P6 or equivalent EPPM platforms, helping to define requirements, configure solutions, improve reporting capabilities, and support integrations with enterprise systems.
LOCATION & WORK HOURS
Location: Flexible – remote (within Canada) with periodic onsite visits to Regina as required
Onsite Expectations: Occasional onsite visits may be required for workshops, planning sessions, or critical deliverables (a few times during the engagement).

THE ROLE – EPPM Functional Consultant As the EPPM Functional Consultant, you will analyze business needs, design functional solutions, configure EPPM capabilities, and support project governance processes. You will work closely with PMO leaders, delivery teams, schedulers, and IT groups to optimize scheduling, resource allocation, reporting, workflow efficiencies, and portfolio transparency.
The role includes functional design, configuration, testing, documentation, reporting improvements, and supporting enhancements, upgrades, and integrations with ERP, asset management, and financial systems.
MANDATORY EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
7–10+ years of functional experience with Oracle Primavera P6 / EPPM or similar platforms
Strong knowledge of enterprise project and portfolio management processes including:
Prior experience supporting PMO or capital project environments
Experience working in structured SDLC, release management, and change control processes
Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills DESIRED CERTIFICATIONS

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Experience configuring dashboards, BI reports, KPIs, and portfolio metrics

This role leads solution design, architectural oversight, and technical governance to ensure that all application-focused initiatives align with business objectives, technology standards, and enterprise architecture principles.
The Solution Architect will work across project teams, operational groups, vendor partners, and enterprise architects to define solution architectures, evaluate options, manage risk, and ensure high-quality implementation. This includes producing logical architecture models, solution specifications, and technical guidance throughout the development, testing, and deployment lifecycle.

MANDATORY EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
8–12+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in solution architecture, application architecture, or enterprise architecture
Proven experience developing logical architectures, integration designs, and solution specifications
Experience guiding projects through the full SDLC (requirements ? design ? build ? test ? release)
Strong understanding of multi-tier application architectures, integration patterns, APIs, web services, and cloud/on-prem architectural models
Knowledge of security architecture considerations, data architecture concepts, and data modeling
Experience evaluating solution options, identifying risks, and recommending mitigation strategies
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and modern application development practices
Strong stakeholder communication and architectural documentation skills
DESIRED CERTIFICATIONS
TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent architecture framework certification
Microsoft, Oracle, or other vendor-specific architecture certifications
