PROJECT MANAGER (onsite Regina)
We’re currently seeking a skilled and driven PROJECT MANAGER to support our client, SaskPower, in an exciting role at the forefront of energy innovation. This position plays a key role in advancing SaskPower’s Nuclear Development initiative, contributing to the evolution of their IT Project Management framework within a revitalized and forward-looking sector.
LOCATION & WORK HOURS:
• Services to be performed onsite (Regina).
• Work Hours 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Saskatchewan Time), with the possibility of occasional after-hours support as required.
THE ROLE – Project Manager (SaskPower Nuclear Development IT)
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing assigned projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget while maintaining high quality standards. The role includes planning, coordination, tracking, and reporting across all project phases. The Project Manager will operate within SaskPower’s Nuclear Development IT Project Management framework, using established templates, tools, and processes to drive successful project outcomes and alignment with organizational objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
• 8–10 years of project management experience, including:
- 5+ years leading complex IT projects end-to-end
- 3+ years in the energy, utilities, or government sectors (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of project management frameworks and tools, particularly in enterprise or regulated environments
• Familiarity with nuclear, infrastructure, or public-sector governance frameworks is a strong asset
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 certification required
• Proven track record of continuous improvement and process optimization
• Experience with Agile project delivery methodologies and tools such as Microsoft DevOps
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
Project Management experience with specialization in one or more of the following areas:
• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions
• Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platforms and strategies
• Custom-developed web applications with a focus on user-centered design
• Microsoft Azure infrastructure, cloud networking, and M365 productivity tools
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is a one-year contract role with the possibility of extension, commencing April 28, 2025. The position is onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan, with standard working hours of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (CST).
