Technical Architect, Level 3

We are Systematix and we are looking for a Technical Architect, Level 3 for an upcoming opportunity with a Federal Government department. The ideal candidate must already possess a security clearance at the Secret level (Level II) or higher.

About the Project

The client is divided into multiple cloud tenants to provide logical separation between the training of clients. Each tenant is separated using next generation Software Defined Networking (SDN), individual Distributed Firewalls on each Virtual Machine and Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW) between Network Zones. The Contractor will be required to perform IT Infrastructure and applications management services for the following Infrastructure Operations:

About the Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized technical advice and support on technical issues related to the planning, development, implementation, integration and maintenance of a departmental/agency IT infrastructure operations in support of service delivery to internal or external clients, and stakeholders;
  • Provide specialized technical advice, support and guidance to management, technical staff, program specialists and clients in the planning, design, development, testing, implementation, integration and maintenance of IT infrastructure operations (server and mainframe operations, cloud technologies and services, connectivity between local and remote sites, IT asset acquisition and life cycle management, service management, integrity of corporate and client applications, the roll-out of enterprise software, and technical support and planning for the evolution of a departmental/agency IT infrastructure).
  • Responsible for contacts with project teams, managers, program or administrative specialists, and technical staff. Develop technical architectures, frameworks, and strategies to meet the business and application requirements.
  • Analyze, design, implement and manage the following existing solutions:
  • VMware 7.x/8.x infrastructure including vCenter and ESXi;
  • VMware Cloud Foundation 4.x/5.x Solution including SDDC Manager, NSX-T, and vSAN;
  • VMWare vRealize/Aria Suite environment;
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM);
  • Veeam backup systems;
  • Create documents similar but not limited to:
  • Statements of Capability Deficiency (SCD), Statement of Requirements (SOR), Statements of Work (SOW) and Project Implementation Plans;
  • Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) documentation.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and mentorship to other System Administrator Contractors;
  • Assign daily tasks to contractor team members and provide situational reports to management; and
  • Provide technical guidance to management.

About the Qualifications

  • The proposed resource must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Technical Architect.
  • The proposed resource must have a minimum of 24 months of demonstrated experience within the past 60 months developing technical architectures, frameworks and strategies on an enterprise scaled (10+ hosts/100+ Servers/300+ users) production datacenter infrastructure.
  • The proposed resource must have a minimum of 24 months of demonstrated experience within the last 60 months with developing technical architectures, frameworks and strategies and system integration for Microsoft server products which must include Windows Server 2019 or Server 2022.
  • The proposed resource must have a minimum of 24 months of demonstrated experience within the past 60 months developing technical architectures, frameworks and strategies and integrations of VMWare Cloud Foundation which includes ESX version 7.X/8.X, vCenter, VMWare NSX-T (Software Defined Network) and vSAN (Software Defined Storage).
  • The proposed resource must have a minimum of 24 months experience within the past 60 months analyzing and evaluating alternative technology solutions related to On-Prem and Public Cloud technologies.
