Network Analyst, Level 3 

We are Systematix and we are looking for a Network Analyst, Level 3 for an upcoming opportunity with a Federal Government department. The ideal candidate must already possess a security clearance at the Secret level (Level II) or higher.

About the Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and implementation of the overarching enterprise networking infrastructure which features on-premises databases as well as the Azure Cloud environment.
  • Manage the process of migrating multiple applications to an Azure Cloud. After migration, manage and maintain the cloud IAAS hosting in Microsoft Azure.
  • Build and secure the Azure PAAS service web application using Azure Application Gateway and Key Vault in order to achieve a complete development and deployment environment within the MS Azure Cloud.
  • Research Kubernetes container security implications and provided guidance to the cloud team on container implementation best practices.
  • Participate in the WLM project and help migrate web resources from the SSC on-premises data center to an Azure cloud. Build and configured Azure App Services, App Services Plan for code migration.
  • Install and configure a Web Application Firewall (WAF) utilizing F5 BIG-IP devices for the purpose of protecting web sites.
  • Perform post migration tasks related to the move of Azure App Services from App Plan v2 to v3.
  • Built a development environment for developers.
  • Assess tasks on Azure Firewall v1 and v2, ASE v2 and v3, Private endpoint.
  • Provide ongoing support of Azure cloud infrastructures that include directly maintaining the following: Azure App Service Plan, Azure App Services, Azure Key Vaults, Azure Vnet integration, Azure Application Gateway, and Application Delivery Controller, F5 Big IP to front end the web applications in Azure cloud, and Azure Cloud Network Virtual Appliance (Fortigate and Checkpoint) operations.
  • Build and maintain firewall flows of multiple applications within the new cloud environment including SAP applications (HANA, SOLMAN etc.), IAAS SQL, web applications etc.
  • Work for the FMT Government of Canada Financial and Material Management (GCFM) solution project during the Solution Validation and in preparation for the Realize phase.
  • Work with the security and basis teams to design, configure and implement the infrastructure components in support of the GCFM solution.
  • Provide expert advice related to the infrastructure and networking components.
  • Contribute to the definition and design of infrastructure, networking and supporting requirements necessary for the GCFM solution including core architecture, physical network topography and backup and restore strategies.
  • Plan, install, upgrade, and maintain the GCFM SAP-based infrastructure and networking (OS/VM, firewalls, storage, etc.) including patching, upgrading, VPN appliance connections, and troubleshooting for both on-premise systems and the new MS Azure Cloud environment.
  • Configure, monitor, tune, and troubleshot GCFM SAP-based infrastructure and networking and implemented technical changes to maintain reliability, availability and performance of the infrastructure which included improving routing configuration and detecting and mitigating intrusion attempts.
  • Document and update the existing SAP server OS/VM and networking environments.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all GCFM infrastructure and networking components including core architecture, system configuration, zoning architecture, firewall architecture.
  • Administer infrastructure and networking security which included the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network firewalls.
  • Work with the Basis team to create the SAP landscape including planning, designing, configuring, implementing, and testing the infrastructure for the following components: SAP Router, Solution Manager with S/4 HANA, Prototype 1 – Development Sandbox with Gateway, Solution Manager and S/4, Prototype 2 – Development Sandbox (full landscape), Development Environment, Quality Assurance Environment, Training Environment, Production Environment
  • Manage and maintain cloud IAAS hosting in Microsoft Azure. In addition to cloud security design, implementation and support activities, research Kubernetes container security implications and provided guidance to the cloud team on container implementation best practices.
  • Responsible for creating implementation plans for the overall solution.
  • Install required technologies and applications as part of the network and participate in monitoring activities to ensure performance is adequate.
  • Be involved in correcting defects and problems reported by users which included troubleshooting.

About the Qualifications

  • A minimum of 120 months of experience architecting and implementing networking infrastructure solutions.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience, performing all of the following networking and server related tasks in an SAP environment supporting both Microsoft OS platform and Linux platform: Installation, Configuration, Upgrades, Clustering, and System Administration of operations.
  • A minimum of 5 years of infrastructure networking or server experience performing both of the following: Installing and configuring firewalls and Networking/routing configuration and intrusion detection/prevention
  • A minimum of 5 years of infrastructure networking or server experience in the installation and maintenance of servers including all of the following: Domain Name System (DNS), Active Directory, Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), and Internet Information Services (IIS)
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience installing and configuring a Web Application Firewall.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience building and securing a complete development and deployment environment for Microsoft Azure Cloud.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience performing networking activities in an SAP environment within a Cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting and/or maintaining the following components of an MS Azure cloud infrastructure: Azure Application Gateway, Azure Key Vaults, Azure Vnet integration, Azure Network Virtual Appliances, and Application delivery controller (ADC).
