BA – NUCLEAR BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST

We’re currently seeking a seasoned BA – NUCLEAR BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST to support our client, a large public power utility, in advancing enterprise business and technology alignment within its nuclear initiatives. This role involves engaging stakeholders, analyzing business and IT requirements, supporting program governance, and developing detailed documentation for project execution in highly regulated environments. The ideal candidate combines strong experience in business process design and IT project delivery with deep familiarity in the utility and nuclear sectors.

Location & Work Hours

Location: Primarily onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan, with potential for hybrid or flexible offsite arrangements based on project needs.

Start Date: August 1, 2025
End Date: March 31, 2027 (20-month term)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
Availability: May require occasional after-hours work or participation in on-call support.
Security Clearance: Candidates must have no disqualifying criminal history. Education credentials must be verified.

Requirements

Mandatory Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in:
    • Business analysis and process modeling
    • IT project delivery in large enterprise environments
    • Stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering
  • Demonstrated experience in regulatory or utility sectors, preferably in nuclear operations or energy.
    Desired Certifications
    • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
    • Project Management Professional (PMP)
    • ITIL or equivalent framework training

    Preferred Experience

    • Working knowledge of the nuclear energy industry and its regulatory requirements
    • Experience supporting enterprise-scale transformations and cross-functional program teams
    • Familiarity with NERC standards and governance models
    • Ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders in complex initiatives
    • Documentation and process development in highly regulated sectors

    Key Deliverables

    • Detailed business requirements and technical documentation
    • Process improvement plans and workflow diagrams
    • Status and progress reports to governance boards
    • Transition plans and knowledge transfer materials
    • Compliance support and audit-ready documentation

    About the Role
    This is a 20-month contract role starting August 1, 2025, and ending March 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension. The position supports a large energy utility’s Nuclear Business Technology initiatives and requires a collaborative, detail-oriented analyst with a balance of business insight and technical understanding. The work will be performed primarily onsite in Regina, with flexibility offsite or hybrid considered.
