Data Analyst – MS Fabric

We are Systematix and we are currently looking for a Data Analyst (Microsoft Fabric Certified) to support the design, orchestration, and optimization of enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions for our client’s operations in Vaughan, Ontario.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and certified Data Analyst with expertise in Microsoft Fabric to join their Data and Analytics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining semantic models, lakehouses, and data warehouses, while orchestrating data pipelines and real-time intelligence solutions.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise-scale analytics, ensure data security and governance, and optimize performance across Microsoft Fabric assets. This position requires strong technical proficiency in SQL, DAX, and PySpark, along with a deep understanding of data integration, modeling, and analytics orchestration.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Data Analyst (Microsoft Fabric Certified) will:
• Design and maintain semantic models, lakehouses, and data warehouses using Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop and orchestrate data pipelines and dataflows for ingestion, transformation, and real-time intelligence.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise-scale analytics solutions.
• Secure and manage analytics environments, ensuring compliance with governance and privacy standards.
• Monitor and optimize performance across Fabric assets using tools like SQL, PySpark, and DAX.
• Support deployment and administration of Fabric environments, including OneLake, Copilot Studio, and Power BI integrations.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Location: Vaughan, Ontario
Department: IT Services / Enterprise Architecture
Reports To: Manager, Solutions Architecture
Type: Full-time hybrid contract role (onsite as required)
Duration: 12 months with potential for extension and/or conversion to permanent employment

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in data analytics or engineering roles.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric, including lakehouse and warehouse implementations.
• Strong command of SQL, DAX, and PySpark.
• Experience with data modeling, data integration, and analytics orchestration.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

CERTIFICATIONS (Strongly Preferred)
• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate

BONUS SKILLS (Nice to Have)
• Exposure to Databricks and Snowflake platforms.
• Familiarity with AI skills, Copilot Studio, or Fabric APIs.
• Understanding of data governance, security models (RLS, CLS, masking), and deployment best practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
