Junior Systems Testing/QA Specialist
We are Systematix and we are currently looking for a Junior Systems Testing / QA Specialist for our client.
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Our client is seeking a Junior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support quality assurance and testing activities within a large public sector environment. The role supports Power Apps, COTS applications, APIs, and enterprise solutions while ensuring software quality, accessibility compliance, and successful project delivery.
Working closely with business analysts, developers, project managers, and stakeholders, the successful candidate will participate in planning, execution, defect management, automation, performance testing, user acceptance testing, and release support activities.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide advice on testing strategies, test plans, testing tools, and resource requirements
- Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, test cases, and test data
- Execute functional, integration, system, regression, performance, stress, load, and user acceptance testing
- Document and manage defects using Azure DevOps, JIRA, ALM, and related tools
- Support API testing activities using Postman
- Support automated testing and CI/CD testing processes
- Validate data integrity, migration accuracy, and transformation activities
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve defects
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint activities
- Produce testing documentation, metrics, and status reports
- Lead and support UAT activities and stakeholder sign-off
REQUIREMENTS:
Must-have:
- Hands-on experience supporting testing activities within Microsoft Power Apps environments
- Experience working in Agile projects using Azure DevOps or JIRA
- Hands-on experience using Postman for API testing
- Experience contributing to QA documentation, test execution reporting, and test artifacts
- Experience creating and executing functional and non-functional test cases
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and QA best practices
- Experience with system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Knowledge of AODA accessibility requirements
- Experience with SQL or query tools for backend testing
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Nice-to-have:
- Experience testing Commercial Off-The-Shelf applications
- Experience testing Child Welfare applications
- Experience with Selenium, JMeter, LoadRunner, TestRail, or Zephyr
- Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or Bash
- Experience with security testing
- Experience with Curam, Siebel, or Oracle eBS
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Location: Onsite – 5700 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario
Duration: June 8, 2026 – March 31, 2027
Work hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (7.25 hours/day)
Security level: CRJMC
PAY DISCLOSURE:
The average hourly pay range for this field is as follows:
- Junior: $40–$47.11/hr
- Intermediate: $47–$52/hr
- Senior: $52–$58/hr
