Infrastructure Project Manager
We are Systematix and we are currently looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager for our client in the environmental and applied solutions sector.
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Systematix is supporting a global client through an IT transformation program focused on modernization, process improvement, and infrastructure uplift. Reporting to the VP, Infrastructure and Operations, you will collaborate closely with internal IT leadership, vendors, and business teams to help oversee the delivery of multiple concurrent infrastructure initiatives. This engagement requires strong coordination skills, infrastructure familiarity, and the ability to manage timelines, reporting, and cross-functional communication in a matrixed enterprise environment.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple infrastructure and IT transformation initiatives while ensuring effective tracking, reporting, and stakeholder alignment.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the execution of infrastructure and modernization initiatives including cloud adoption, network upgrades, and application enhancements
- Partnering with the client’s lead IT Project Manager to manage tracking, reporting, and documentation across active projects
- Facilitating communication between IT, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment of objectives and priorities
- Maintaining project schedules, RAID logs, dashboards, and documentation using standard project management tools
- Assisting with budgeting, resource coordination, and vendor oversight activities
- Preparing weekly and monthly status reports highlighting progress, risks, and next steps for leadership and steering committees
- Identifying cross-project risks or bottlenecks and recommending mitigation strategies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project coordination or project management
- Experience supporting infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise technology initiatives
- Strong understanding of networking, infrastructure services, security, and enterprise systems
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or Microsoft Teams
- Experience working within large, matrixed organizations. Nice-to-have: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Location: Remote (Eastern Time Zone hours required)
Duration: 4-month contract, with the intention to extend
PAY DISCLOSURE:
The average hourly pay range for this field is as follows (CAD): Senior Level: 8+ years of experience — $85–100/hr. Compensation is commensurate with these standards; exceptions may apply based on experience, skills, and market conditions.
