Data Reviewer – LC/MS
We are Systematix and we are currently looking for a detail-oriented Data Reviewer – LC/MS to support analytical data review and quality assurance activities for one of our key clients.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our client is a global leader in science and technology, delivering innovative analytical solutions that support research, diagnostics, pharmaceutical development, and laboratory operations around the world. As demand for high-quality analytical data continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced LC/MS professional to support the review, validation, and reporting of complex mass spectrometry datasets.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and integrity of analytical results by reviewing LC/MS data, evaluating chromatographic performance, and collaborating with scientific teams to support timely project delivery.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review LC/MS datasets daily, with a strong focus on peak integration, peak identification, and outlier detection.
- Evaluate chromatographic data to ensure analytical accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established quality standards.
- Process and review analytical data using software.
- Investigate data anomalies and recommend appropriate corrective actions where required.
- Verify, document, and communicate analytical results in accordance with internal quality procedures.
- Collaborate with laboratory scientists and cross-functional teams to support timely completion of data review and reporting activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to data review activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data review processes, workflows, and best practices.
- Support quality assurance initiatives by ensuring the integrity and consistency of analytical results.
ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in analytical chemistry with a strong emphasis on LC/MS workflows.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing LC/MS data, including peak integration, peak evaluation, and outlier analysis.
- Hands-on experience using mass spectrometry platforms and related software.
- Experience working in high-throughput laboratory environments processing and reviewing large analytical datasets.
- Strong understanding of chromatographic principles and mass spectrometry data interpretation.
- Knowledge of analytical quality standards and laboratory best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to data quality and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or analytical instrumentation organizations.
- Experience working within regulated laboratory environments.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a 6-month contract opportunity with a strong likelihood of extension.
The role will be performed in a hybrid work environment based in the Greater Toronto Area.
The expected pay range for this position is CAD $35–45 per hour (incorporated), depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
