Business Analyst
Systematix is currently seeking a Business Analyst for our client, a major provincial utility organization, to support the Nuclear Business Technology (NBT) program within a large enterprise utility environment. This role will focus on requirements management, workshop facilitation, business process analysis, and delivery support for strategic technology initiatives supporting nuclear business operations.
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Systematix is supporting a major provincial utility organization’s Nuclear Business Technology team as part of ongoing enterprise modernization and business transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to support planning, requirements elicitation, documentation, business process modeling, journey mapping, and delivery coordination across complex technology initiatives.
This role requires a highly collaborative and experienced Business Analyst with strong facilitation, communication, and documentation skills who can engage effectively with both business and technical teams in a business-facing environment.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Nuclear Business Technology program through business analysis and delivery activities
- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and operational requirements
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and collaborative working sessions
- Develop use cases, process flows, journey maps, and business process models
- Translate business requirements into actionable documentation and delivery artifacts
- Support planning documentation and requirements management activities
- Create and maintain testing materials, scripts, scenarios, acceptance criteria, and traceability documentation
- Assist with workshop facilitation and presentations to business stakeholders
- Analyze and document complex business concepts and operational processes
- Support review, analysis, and recommendations related to project documentation
- Work collaboratively with business, technical, and program stakeholders
- Contribute to technology adoption and operational readiness activities
- Ensure deliverables align with organizational standards and project expectations
REQUIREMENTS – Must-have:
- 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role supporting software delivery projects
- Exceptional communication, documentation, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation capabilities
- Experience with business process modeling and requirements management
- Ability to work effectively in a highly business-facing environment
- Experience creating testing documentation, acceptance criteria, and supporting UAT activities
- Ability to document and communicate complex business concepts clearly
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
REQUIREMENTS – Nice-to-have:
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent Business Analysis certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Understanding of User Centered Design (UCD) principles
- Understanding of Business Architecture principles
- Experience supporting adoption of modern technologies
- Journey Mapping experience
- Familiarity with modern enterprise technologies and architectures
- Experience working within utility, energy, or regulated enterprise environments
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Location: Onsite (Regina, Saskatchewan)
- Planned Start Date: June 1, 2026
- Planned End Date: August 31, 2027
- Duration: ~15 months (with potential for extension)
- Guaranteed Utilization: 100%
- Work Arrangement: Primarily onsite due to extensive business-facing interaction requirements
PAY DISCLOSURE:
Based on current Saskatchewan public-sector and utility market rates for Business Analysts:
Intermediate (5–8 years): $75–$90/hr
Senior (8+ years): $90–$105/hr
Compensation is commensurate with experience, certifications, and alignment with Saskatchewan public-sector market benchmarks.
