APPLICATION SOLUTION ARCHITECT

We’re currently seeking a skilled and experienced APPLICATION SOLUTION ARCHITECT to support our client, SaskPower, in a senior-level role within their SaskPower Nuclear subsidiary. This position will play a critical role in the implementation of enterprise systems within SaskNuclear’s IT environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and maintainable application solutions that support core business functions, regulatory compliance, and the overall digital modernization strategy. Operating within a complex and highly regulated utility landscape, this role will help shape SaskNuclear’s application architecture to ensure long-term performance, integration, and adaptability across evolving business and technical requirements.
LOCATION & WORK HOURS:
•    Location: Services will be preferred onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan.
•    Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST.
REQUIREMENTS
•    7+ years of experience in application architecture, with a focus on enterprise IT environments.
•    Azure certifications related to Virtual Networks or cloud architecture are preferred.
•    Proven experience in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solution design, procurement, and implementation within regulated environments.
•    Strong understanding of records management practices and associated regulatory compliance requirements.
•    Demonstrated experience in custom web application design and delivery, with a solid grasp of user-centered design principles and modern development frameworks.
•    A track record of successful implementations of either Enterprise Content Management systems or custom-built web applications across multiple organizations or projects.
DELIVERABLES
Responsibilities:

The Application Solution Architect will lead and contribute to the design and implementation of application systems within SaskNuclear’s IT environment. This includes conducting requirements analysis, producing detailed architectural documentation, and ensuring alignment with both technical standards and business objectives.
Key Deliverables:
•    Requirements analysis leading to the creation of Conceptual and Detailed Solution Designs
•    Documentation including logical architecture, system workflows, and integration diagrams
•    Development of Technical Specifications to guide implementation teams
•    Ensuring alignment with Business Architecture and enterprise goals
•    Providing recommendations for solution design, tool selection, and integration strategies
•    Supporting additional tasks as assigned by the SaskNuclear IT Program
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is a one-year contract role with the possibility of extension, commencing May 1, 2025. The position is onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan, with standard working hours of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (CST).
