ERP Technical Analyst, Level 3
We are Systematix and we are looking for an ERP Technical Analyst, Level 3 for an upcoming opportunity with a Federal Government department. The ideal candidate must already possess a security clearance at the Secret level (Level II) or higher.
About the Project
The Financial Planning and Analytics Solutions (SMIT) subdivision within the client’s organization is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of one SAP BW-IP installation and the related SAP Business Object applications on which the Financial Planning and Analytics (FP&A) Portal and Financial reports are based. Functional and technical support is being provided by SMIT (Finance) & SIC (Information Technology) to over 2800 FP&A Portal end users at HQ and missions throughout the world. The following SAP components are currently in use to support FP&A portal and financial analytics solutions: SAP Integrated Planning, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Business Objects (Lumira &Analysis for Office), Power Bi. The scope of work for the resources needed includes providing front-end and back-end expertise and support the Financial Planning and Analytics Solutions (SMIT) subdivision.
About the Responsibilities
- Document all data elements for each new data asset created, whether as a standalone deliverable or as part of a larger deliverable.
- Define test scenarios and develop acceptance criteria.
- Verify programs, scripts, and configurations for accuracy and completeness through system acceptance testing.
- Design, develop, and test prototype BI content (e.g., reports, dashboards, stories).
- Offer client support, including troubleshooting issues with BI products to identify potential root causes.
- Ensure the data delivery environment aligns with user requirements.
- Support and monitor BI deliverables across various environments (e.g., Sandbox, DEV QC, PrePROD, and PROD) to maintain optimal performance and best practices, especially during system upgrades.
- Monitor and resolve issues within the BI environment and processes.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with internal teams.
- Tasks pertaining to the modeling, design, development, testing and implementation of the appropriate backend structures needed in the current SAP Integrated Planning and Business Warehouse Solutions to meet business reporting requirements.

About the Qualifications
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience working as an SAP Technical Analyst on SAP Business Intelligence/Business Warehouse (BI/BW) projects within the last fifteen (15) years.
- A minimum of five (5) years SAP BI/BW experience working on a Federal Government of Canada department, agency or crown corporation project in Finance or HR.
- Experience providing technical (back end) expertise on a minimum of two (2) projects of at least 6 months in the last twelve (12) years that utilized SAP Integrated Planning or Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) as part of a planning (or forecasting) solution.
- Must hold an SAP certification related to SAP BW 7.4 or higher. SAP BI or Netweaver.
- Experience in a minimum of 5 projects in planning, designing, implementing, and supporting the back-end solution of SAP BI/BW reporting & analytics environment.
- Experience in a minimum of 5 projects in implementing and supporting an Integrated Planning (IP) solution in a production environment in a Federal Government of Canada department, agency or crown corporation.
- Experience in configuring the back end for the following SAP BI/BW modules or content areas: Funds Management, General Ledger, Special Purpose Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Salary Forecasting Tool, Work Flow, Project Systems, Material Management, Integrated Planning, and Custom non-SAP.
- Experience with supporting the Government of Canada BW and Forecasting and Planning process.
- Experience with the following BOBJ related tools/functionalities: Lumira Designer, Central Management Console, and BI Launchpad.
