Senior SAP Basis Administrator
Location: Montreal, Toronto, or Ottawa
On-Site Presence: Required (1-4 days/month, or as needed)
Duration: 1 year + two 6-month renewal options
Start Date: As soon as possible
Systematix is looking for a Senior SAP Basis Administrator to support our client’s SAP environment. This role requires deep expertise in SAP system administration, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate has strong technical and analytical skills, along with the ability to collaborate with teams across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SAP systems (ECC 6.0, SRM, BW, GRC, Portal).
Administer SAP Solution Manager and ensure system stability.
Manage SAP transport system and coordinate system maintenance.
Monitor SAP system performance and troubleshoot issues.
Collaborate with SysOps, DBA, and functional teams to maintain system integrity.
Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, patches, and security updates.
Support user management, security roles, and SAP GUI strategies.
Provide technical documentation and contribute to best practices.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of SAP Basis administration experience using SAP NetWeaver.
- Strong expertise in Unix/Linux-based SAP systems administration.
- Experience managing SAP Solution Manager and system integrations.
- Solid understanding of SAP Best Practices and ITIL frameworks.
- Experience with system development lifecycle and release management.
- Knowledge of change and incident management tools (ITSM, ITIL).
- SAP certification and Agile knowledge are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English; French is a strong asset.
This role involves occasional travel between Montreal, Toronto, and Ottawa.
