Security Analysts

We are Systematix and we are currently looking for experienced Security Analysts to support one of our valued public-sector clients.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Systematix is supporting a major Government of Saskatchewan cybersecurity initiative within the Cybersecurity and Risk Management (CSRM) Branch. This engagement forms part of an enterprise-wide cybersecurity program responsible for protecting government applications, infrastructure, networks, and digital services delivered to citizens across the province.

The successful consultant will join a collaborative security operations team responsible for strengthening the government's cybersecurity posture through security monitoring, incident response, network security operations, privileged access management, security reporting, phishing awareness initiatives, and continuous improvement of operational cybersecurity processes.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will become a key member of the Cybersecurity and Risk Management Branch, supporting daily cybersecurity operations across a large and complex enterprise environment.

Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents using ServiceNow.
• Investigate network security events across firewalls, IDS/IPS, web proxies, VPNs, and related technologies.
• Perform network traffic analysis to identify indicators of compromise and unauthorized access.
• Support firewall administration, network segmentation, VPN security, NAC, and secure remote access.
• Review firewall rules, ACLs, and security configurations.
• Participate in incident response, packet capture analysis, and root cause investigations.
• Respond to Privileged Access Management (PAM) requests.
• Prepare operational reports, security metrics, and incident documentation.
• Support phishing simulation campaigns and security awareness initiatives.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, architecture, and security teams.

REQUIREMENTS

Must-have:
• Enterprise cybersecurity operations experience.
• Experience with security incident response.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and network security monitoring.
• Experience reviewing firewall rules and access controls.
• Knowledge of network traffic analysis and cyber threat detection.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Nice-to-have:
• Government or large enterprise experience.
• Privileged Access Management (PAM).
• Phishing awareness initiatives.
• Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, GIAC, CEH, GSEC, or CCNP Security.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Location: Regina, Saskatchewan (100% Onsite)
Duration: Contract – 12 months
Anticipated Start Date: August 24, 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter)
Work Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

PAY DISCLOSURE
Intermediate (4–7 years): $85–100/hr
Senior (8+ years): $100–115/hr

Compensation is commensurate with experience, certifications, technical expertise, and market conditions.
