System Integration and Deployment Project Manager (ONSITE Hamilton)

We are Systematix and we are looking for a dynamic System Integration and Deployment Project Manager to fill a one year+ contract position with one of our key manufacturing clientele in Hamilton.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic System Integration and Deployment Project Manager to lead and oversee the integration and deployment of complex systems for the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, resources, and risks, and ensure successful implementation of systems to meet objectives. ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end project management for system integration and deployment projects, ensuring alignment.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and requirements, and translate them into actionable project plans.

  • Develop detailed system integration, implementation, and commissioning project plans, and schedules, and monitor their execution throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Coordinate with technical teams, vendors, and partners to ensure seamless integration of systems, applications, and technologies.

  • Manage project resources, including team members, contractors, and third-party vendors, and allocate tasks and responsibilities effectively.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks to ensure project success.

  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of project goals and timelines.

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices in system integration, deployment, and testing processes.

  • Lead change management efforts, including user training, documentation, and post-deployment support to ensure smooth adoption of new systems.

  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing lessons learned in future projects.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 12+ years’ proven experience as a Project Manager in system integration and deployment projects, preferably in a technology-driven environment.

  • Strong understanding of system architecture, software development lifecycle, and integration methodologies.

  • Project management certification is desirable.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, and deliver results within tight deadlines.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding solutions in complex and dynamic environments.

  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus.

  • Valid drivers’ license.

Job Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex system integration and deployment projects from start to finish.

  • Proficiency in the technologies and systems relevant to the integration and deployment process.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Aptitude for identifying and resolving technical challenges and bottlenecks during integration and deployment.

  • Skill in managing cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration to ensure project success.

  • Experience in coordinating with external vendors and partners involved in the integration process.

  • Capacity to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and ensure project milestones are met.

  • Ability to guide stakeholders through changes resulting from system integration and deployment.

  • Understanding of quality control procedures to ensure the final deployed systems meet requirements.

  • Strong communication, time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Job Knowledge

  • Understanding of system architecture principles and how different components interact.

  • Knowledge of deployment strategies like continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps.

  • Proficiency with technology and Microsoft-based software packages.

  • Experience with implementation of manufacturing execution applications, would be beneficial.

  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) phases, especially testing and deployment

  • Familiarity with industry-specific compliance standards and regulations.

  • Skill in creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.

Work Environment

  • Normal, fast-paced office environment for a high impact team.

  • Onsite / remote work options are available, this is not a 100% remote position and onsite presence will be required. 4-days on-site at Hamilton or Nanticoke plant facility and 1-day remote.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a one-year contract position with the possibility of extending based on performance. Candidates must be able to work minimum 4-days a week onsite at client’s Hamilton location. (Work is normally 4-days onsite and 1-day remote, but will require 5-days onsite during test cycles/deployment).
