We are Systematix and we are looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer with strong knowledge of MUI components and theming to fill a remote short-term contract (up to 3 months) position with our global consulting client. (Open to all residents of Canada or USA).

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

We are seeking a seasoned UX Designer to help deliver an application exclusively for client usage. Qualified candidates will have a keen eye for design and strong understanding of user-centered principles. You must possess a creative drive, technical proficiency, and a passion for creating user experiences that are optimized for improved usability, usefulness, and exceptional visual design. In this temporary (up to 3 months) project, you must be proficient in understanding MUI components. The ideal candidate is hard-working, committed, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and can hit the ground running.

You will need to provide a portfolio and/or links to sample work.
 

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Engage in UX research to inform digital experience strategy and interface structure.

• Create information architectures, wireframes, user journey maps, and functional documentation of digital interfaces independently.

• Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate elements of user experience, interaction, and functionality in collaboration with developers.

• Take the lead of projects and tasks to ensure an appropriate level of style is infused in all creative work consistent with the brand and target audience.

• Develop user testing plans, facilitate testing, and create testing reports and recommendations in partnership with the development team.

• Listen to design needs, produce ideas and communicate the plan to team members.

• Other duties as assigned.

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years professional design experience (including UI design and user experience testing).

• Proficient with TypeScript, React, and MUI

• Experience in a wide variety of UX Design methods and tools including user journey mapping, design thinking, information architecture, low-fidelity design, high-fidelity design, design systems, accessibility in design, and prototyping.

• Experience delivering responsive design solutions for a variety of devices and form factors.

• Competency in front-end development and collaborating closely with development team members.

• Takes ownership for self-development and up to date with UX skills including UX Design techniques, tools, and best practices.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a REMOTE contract position (up-to 3 months) open to residents of Canada or USA.
