Systematix is currently looking for a Network Architect to help support the growth in a diverse global infrastructure.

About the Project

Our client is one of the leading Diagnostics and Life Sciences companies, with offices around the world.  Working as a Network Architect for the Enterprise Technology Solutions division, you will be responsible for developing network and related architectures and solutions based on requirements from offering, engineering, and operations, as well as internal & external customers.  You will also be responsible for network architecture and service delivery covering 150 remote sites globally, 5 data centers, and an ever-growing Cloud footprint.

About the Responsibilities

• Providing technical leadership for the global network services team.
• Owning network technology roadmap that includes includes technology watch, vendor selection, best practices adaption, drive standardization, automation, and engineering validation in the lab.
• Interacting with the various business units to gather requirements, solutions to meet emerging business needs.
• Leading enterprise-wide projects in relation to design and provisioning of network components.
• Collaborating with IT Leadership and Business partners to assess near- and long-term network capacity needs
• Working closely with global network team, security team and enterprise architecture (EA) team in defining current and future technology standards.

About the Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other technical field
• 10+ years overall IT experience
• Knowledge of the following technologies required:
• Silverpeak/Aruba SDWAN
• Cloud networking (AWS & Azure)
• Juniper networking (switches, firewalls, MIST wifi, Aruba wifi)
• BGP & OSPF  routing protocol
• Load balancer (F5 or equivalence)
• Experience leading network teams in design and standardization of company LAN, WAN, SDWAN and wireless networks.
• Experience with taking ownership of the service delivery process for network components, manage the lifecycle of configuration templates and software versions
• Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities.
• Experience with Virtualization technology
• Experience with Network automation,  scripting and capacity planning
• Experience with VPN, firewalls & packet analysis

About the Role

There is a 6 month contract to hire role.  The position may be performed remotely in any time zone within North America.  There is the possibility of 10% travel with this role.
