IT Support Analyst (onsite)

Systematix is currently looking for an IT Operations Analyst help with the implementation of a diverse global IT Operations network, for one of the world’s leaders in Life Sciences technologies.

Our client is one of the world’s leading Life Sciences, with offices around the globe. Working as Infrastrucutre Operations Analyst for the Client technologies division, you will be responsible for providing support for l IT Operations including service desk, system administration, development, security and support of all relevant IT infrastructure, systems and applications.
Your responsibilities in the role will be:

    Providing user and administrative support for IT systems, applications and Infrastructure

    Providing technical guidance to users and management for IT related issues and queries

    Performing maintenance and troubleshooting of all relevant hardware, software and systems

    Performing routine IT operation tasks (ex: backups)

    Configuration, installation & deployment of IT equipment and related peripherals

    Ensuring appropriate IT related procedures are enforced

    Developing a working knowledge of department specific applications

    Identifying opportunities and recommend solutions for improving service, efficiency and effectiveness

    Logging into and using telephone and computer based Service Desk system to record all support activities

    Logging into and providing support to the IT Hotline

    Contributing to meeting the departmental key performance indicators

    Providing training to end user community as required


    Associate’s Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent)

    Up-to-date professional IT certification

    3+ year experience of providing end user desktop support

    3+ year experience of PC applications / operating systems / hardware

    Good knowledge of IT hardware and associated peripherals

    Good knowledge of Microsoft operating system and Office applications

    Ability to use technical documentation and diagnostic tools to solve hardware and software problems

    Ability to work as part of a team

    Good judgment and strong analytical skills as well as follow-up and organizational skills

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

This is a 4-month onsite contract role to be performed in the central Wales area. There is a strong possibility of extension for this contract.
