ABOUT THE PROJECT<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span>
Systematix is supporting a major Government of Saskatchewan cybersecurity initiative within the Cybersecurity and Risk Management (CSRM) Branch. This engagement forms part of an enterprise-wide cybersecurity program responsible for protecting government applications, infrastructure, networks, and digital services delivered to citizens across the province.<\/p>\n

The successful consultant will join a collaborative security operations team responsible for strengthening the government's cybersecurity posture through security monitoring, incident response, network security operations, privileged access management, security reporting, phishing awareness initiatives, and continuous improvement of operational cybersecurity processes.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

In this role, you will become a key member of the Cybersecurity and Risk Management Branch, supporting daily cybersecurity operations across a large and complex enterprise environment.<\/p>\n

Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents using ServiceNow.
\u2022 Investigate network security events across firewalls, IDS\/IPS, web proxies, VPNs, and related technologies.
\u2022 Perform network traffic analysis to identify indicators of compromise and unauthorized access.
\u2022 Support firewall administration, network segmentation, VPN security, NAC, and secure remote access.
\u2022 Review firewall rules, ACLs, and security configurations.
\u2022 Participate in incident response, packet capture analysis, and root cause investigations.
\u2022 Respond to Privileged Access Management (PAM) requests.
\u2022 Prepare operational reports, security metrics, and incident documentation.
\u2022 Support phishing simulation campaigns and security awareness initiatives.
\u2022 Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, architecture, and security teams.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Must-have:
\u2022 Enterprise cybersecurity operations experience.
\u2022 Experience with security incident response.
\u2022 Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
\u2022 Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS\/IPS, VPNs, and network security monitoring.
\u2022 Experience reviewing firewall rules and access controls.
\u2022 Knowledge of network traffic analysis and cyber threat detection.
\u2022 Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
\u2022 Ability to work 100% onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan.<\/p>\n

Nice-to-have:<\/strong>
\u2022 Government or large enterprise experience.
\u2022 Privileged Access Management (PAM).
\u2022 Phishing awareness initiatives.
\u2022 Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, GIAC, CEH, GSEC, or CCNP Security.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

ABOUT THE ROLE<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Location: Regina, Saskatchewan (100% Onsite)
Duration: Contract \u2013 12 months<\/span><\/span><\/span>
Anticipated Start Date: August 24, 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter)
Work Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hours\/week)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

PAY DISCLOSURE<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span>
Intermediate (4\u20137 years): $85\u2013100\/hr
Senior (8+ years): $100\u2013115\/hr<\/p>\n

Compensation is commensurate with experience, certifications, technical expertise, and market conditions.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
