Senior Desktop Engineer
Systematix is currently looking for Senior Desktop Engineer to support and maintain organizational computer systems and desktops.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our client is a global leader in science and technology, providing a breadth of expertise and solutions to customers worldwide. As Desktop Engineer, you will be the technical troubleshooter who will ensure that our client’s desktop environment is running smoothly and efficiently.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software within established standards and guidelines.
Working with vendor support contacts to resolve technical issues within the desktop environment.
Troubleshooting and repairing hardware and network connectivity issues.
Providing end-user support, resolving technical issues, and providing technical assistance for all Operating System and workstation applications.
Performing system upgrades including the installation of new hardware and software.
Co-ordinating requirements for lab/logistic machines
Creating user guides
ABOUT THE QUALIFICATIONS
-
Hands-on experience in the following areas:
CIS Hardening
Quest software
Cofense email security
DPP
Good judgment and strong analytical skills as well as follow-up and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Diploma or degree in Computer Science is preferred
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a 3-month contract that can be performed from our client’s offices in Cambridge, UK.
